Archiving an album

Archiving hides an album from your main Albums view and stops Social Valet from generating new content for it. Use it when an album is finished and no longer needs to be in rotation β€” a wrapped wedding, a season you've stopped working on, a one-off shoot you don't plan to revisit. Archived albums can be unarchived at any time.

How to archive an album

  1. Go to the Albums page.

  2. Find the album you want to archive and click the β‹― menu on its tile.

  3. Choose Archive Album.

  4. Review the confirmation modal, then click Yes, Archive.

What happens when you archive

The confirmation modal spells this out, but in short:

  • All unpublished, scheduled, and draft Instagram posts for the album are permanently removed.

  • All draft and scheduled blog posts for the album are permanently removed.

  • New posts won't be generated for the album going forward.

  • Already-published posts are preserved as read-only history.

  • Your brand voice and other settings are not affected.

The unpublished post removal is permanent and can't be undone by unarchiving β€” so if you want to keep any pending posts, approve or reschedule them before archiving.

How to unarchive an album

  1. From the Albums page, click the β‹― menu in the top right of the page.

  2. Choose View Archived Albums.

  3. Find the album and click the β‹― menu on its tile.

  4. Choose Unarchive Album.

  5. Confirm by clicking Yes, Unarchive.

The album returns to your main Albums view and Social Valet resumes generating new Instagram and blog posts based on your current settings.
