Connecting your Instagram account

Connecting Instagram lets Social Valet publish posts on your behalf, pull in your account details, and schedule content directly to your feed. You can connect during onboarding or anytime from Settings → Platform Management.
Before you start
Social Valet works with Instagram Business and Creator accounts only. If your account is currently a personal account, don't worry — Instagram will walk you through converting it during the connection flow. The conversion is free, takes about a minute, and doesn't change how your account looks to your followers.
How to connect
Go to Settings → Platform Management (or follow the prompt during onboarding).
Click Connect Instagram.
Log in to your Instagram account when prompted.
If your account isn't already a Business or Creator account, follow Instagram's on-screen steps to convert it.
Review the permissions Social Valet is requesting and click Allow.
You'll be returned to Social Valet with your account connected.
That's it — you're ready to start generating and scheduling posts.
What permissions Social Valet requests
To publish on your behalf, Social Valet needs permission to:
Read your account profile and basic insights
Publish photo, carousel, and video posts to your feed
Access content you've created in Social Valet for publishing
Social Valet never posts without your approval (unless you turn on auto-approval) and never posts to anyone else's account.
If something goes wrong
"This account type isn't supported" — your account is still set to personal. Restart the flow and complete the Business or Creator conversion when prompted.
The popup closed before connecting — return to Settings → Platform Management and click Connect Instagram again.
Connection succeeded but posts aren't publishing — see My Instagram post failed to publish.
