The More menu (3-dot icon at the top right of the album page) holds every album-wide action β€” uploading more photos, generating posts on demand, downloading and deleting photos, and archiving or deleting the album itself.

What's in the menu

Generate Instagram posts

Re-runs Instagram post generation against the current state of the album. Useful when you've scheduled all your existing posts and want a fresh batch, or after favoriting more photos and updating descriptions, tags, or moments.

This is different from Set to Publishing β€” that button (in the album sidebar) is the initial trigger that moves an album from Draft to Active. Once an album is active, this menu item is how you ask for more posts on demand.

Upload photos

Opens the Upload Photos screen. Drag and drop files or click Browse files to pick them. Same limits as the original album upload: JPG, JPEG, PNG, or HEIC files, up to 50MB each, up to 1,000 photos per album.

Delete photos

Opens the Select images to delete screen. Search or scroll to find the photos you want to remove, click each one to add it to your selection, then click Delete. Click Cancel to back out without deleting.

Selection persists as you scroll, so you can pick photos from different parts of the album in one pass.

Download photos

Opens the Select images to download screen. Works the same way as Delete β€” find your photos, click to select, then click Download. Click Cancel to back out.

Archive Album

Hides the album from your active album list while keeping all its data intact. Use this when an album is fully published and you want to clean up your view. See Archiving an album for details.

Delete album

Permanently removes the album. See Deleting an album for what gets deleted, what survives, and when this option isn't available.

If something goes wrong

  • The Generate Instagram posts option isn't doing anything β€” the album may still be in Draft status. Click Set to Publishing in the album sidebar first.

  • Upload fails for some files β€” check that each file is JPG, JPEG, PNG, or HEIC and under 50MB. Other formats and oversized files won't be accepted.

  • A deleted photo was used in an Instagram post β€” that post's photo set will update to reflect the deletion. If the post hasn't published yet, review it before approval.
