Album details β€” title, description, date, type, location, venue, tags, vendors, and subjects β€” can be edited at any time from the album page sidebar. Click the pencil icon next to the album title to enter edit mode.

How to edit album details

  1. Open the album from the Albums page or the dashboard.

  2. Click the pencil icon next to the album title.

  3. The sidebar fields turn into inputs you can edit directly.

  4. Update any field that needs to change.

  5. Click Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them.

What you can edit

Every field in the sidebar is editable:

  • Title and description

  • Event date

  • Album type (Wedding, Engagement, Corporate, etc.)

  • Location and venue

  • Tags

  • Vendors

  • Subjects

Tags

Type a tag and press Enter to add it. Each tag becomes a chip with an X β€” click the X to remove it.

Vendors

Add a vendor with the plus icon, or click an existing vendor to edit their name, role, Instagram handle, email, or website.

Editing a vendor's information updates that vendor everywhere in your account, not just on this album. If a vendor is shared across multiple albums, the change applies to all of them.

Subjects

Add a subject with a name, role, and optional Instagram handle. The role options change based on the album type β€” a Wedding album shows roles like Bride, Groom, Parent, and Bridal Party, while a Family album shows Parent, Child, Grandparent, Sibling, and Pet.

What happens to existing posts

Editing album details after posts have already been generated does not change those posts. Captions, photo selections, vendor tags, and scheduling all stay exactly as they were. Edits only affect future post generation β€” the next batch of posts (whether triggered by Generate Instagram posts or by the album running its course) will use the updated details.

If you want existing posts to reflect a change, edit them individually or regenerate them.

If something goes wrong

  • The role you want isn't in the Subjects dropdown β€” change the Type field first, then add the subject. Roles are scoped to the album's event type.

  • You don't see the suggested vendors UI β€” that only appears during album creation. After the album exists, vendors are added manually.

  • Save button is disabled β€” check that all required fields (like title) still have values.
