Canceling your subscription or closing your account

There are two different ways to step away from Social Valet, and the right one depends on whether you want to come back. Canceling your subscription stops billing but keeps your account on file. Deleting your account permanently removes your data after a 30-day grace period.
Canceling your subscription
Cancellation stops future charges. Your account stays active through the end of the current billing period, then your subscription ends. Your data stays on file, and you can resubscribe at any time to pick up where you left off.
Go to Settings β Billing and Subscription.
Click Cancel Subscription.
Confirm the cancellation.
You'll keep full access until the period end date shown on the Billing page. After that, publishing and post generation pause until you resubscribe.
Pausing instead of canceling
If you only need a break β a slow season, a personal pause β pausing your subscription is a lighter option than canceling. Pause is offered as part of the account deletion flow described below, or you can reach out to support to set one up.
Deleting your account
Deletion removes your account, your photos, your albums, and any unpublished posts. Posts already published to Instagram or your WordPress site stay where they are β Social Valet doesn't reach back into your social accounts to remove them.
Account deletion is a four-step confirmation flow:
Go to Settings β Business Settings and click Delete Account.
Read the warning. It lists what gets deleted (photos, albums, unpublished posts, integrations) and what stays (already-published posts). Click Continue to proceed, or Cancel to back out.
Review the alternatives β contact support, pause your subscription, or cancel your subscription instead. If you still want to delete, choose No, delete my account.
Type your email, your password, and the phrase DELETE MY ACCOUNT in the confirmation fields, then submit.
Confirm one final time on the Are you absolutely sure? modal.
After final confirmation, your account is scheduled for deletion and you'll receive a confirmation email when the process is complete.
The 30-day grace period
Your account is soft-deleted first and fully removed after 30 days. During the grace period, contact support if you want to restore the account. Once the 30 days pass, deletion is permanent and the data can't be recovered.
What happens to your billing
Active Stripe subscriptions are canceled as part of deletion. No refunds are issued for the current billing period.
Any team members on the account lose access immediately.
The Owner is logged out and can no longer sign in to the account.
Notes
Only the Owner can delete the account. Admins and Users don't see the Delete Account button.
If you're the Owner and want to leave the account without deleting it, transfer ownership first from Settings β Account, then have the new Owner remove you.
