Linking vendors to events and posts

Linking a vendor to an album tells Social Valet who worked the event. That information shows up directly in the content you publish β vendor credits in Instagram captions, collaborator tags on Instagram posts, and references in blog posts.
Where vendor data shows up
Instagram captions β Vendors appear as credits, typically at the end of the caption (e.g., "Photographer: @username", "Florist: @username").
Instagram collaborator tags β Up to five vendors per post are added as Instagram collaborators, which makes the post appear on their profile too. Primary subjects in the post take priority for those five slots.
Blog posts β Vendor names and contact details (email or Instagram handle) can be referenced in the body of the post.
If a vendor doesn't have an Instagram handle saved, they're credited by business name instead. That's why filling in handles when you can is worth the extra few seconds β it's the difference between a tagged credit and a plain-text mention.
Where you link vendors
Two entry points:
During album creation β Step 2 of the album flow lets you add and link vendors as you set up the event. AI-detected vendors from your event details get matched against your existing vendor list automatically.
From the album page β Click the edit pencil next to the album title to open the sidebar in edit mode, then add or remove vendors from the Vendors list.
Vendors linked either way are pulled from (or added to) your account-wide vendor list. Add a vendor once, link them to as many albums as you need.
A note on shared albums
When you share an album with another vendor, you're automatically included as a vendor on the album they receive. That way, if you're a photographer sharing a wedding album with the planner, you'll be properly credited when their account generates posts from those photos. You don't show up as a vendor in your own system β only on the recipient's copy.
When to revisit
Take a minute to fill in or update vendor details before generating posts for an album β a missing Instagram handle or wrong role won't be retroactively fixed in posts that have already been generated. Editing a vendor's details only updates future generations.
