Why my Instagram connection expired (and how to fix it)

Instagram connections occasionally expire β when they do, here's how to fix it. Until you reconnect, Social Valet can't publish posts to your account.
How you'll know
You'll see one or more of these:
A "Instagram connection expired" alert card on your dashboard with a Fix now button
A "Requires Reconnect" badge next to Instagram on Settings β Platform Management
A failure banner on any Instagram post that tried to publish while the connection was expired
How to fix it
Go to Settings β Platform Management.
Click Reconnect on the Instagram row.
Log in to Instagram and approve the permissions, just like the first time you connected.
Once you're reconnected, the alert card disappears automatically.
About your failed posts
Posts that tried to publish while your connection was expired won't retry on their own. After reconnecting, find each failed post and move it back to Approved to reschedule it. See My Instagram post failed to publish for the full recovery steps.
Still not working?
If reconnecting doesn't stick, or you keep getting expired again, reach out to support and we'll take a look.
