Viewing and managing the calendar

The calendar is where you see what's going out and when. It shows scheduled and published posts across Instagram and your blog, with filters to narrow the view. Find it in the left navigation under Calendar.

What you'll see

The calendar opens in week view by default. Each day is a column showing the posts scheduled or published that day. Each post card includes:

  • The platform icon (Instagram or blog)

  • The scheduled or published time, in your account timezone

  • A preview image and the first line of the caption

  • Carousel dots if the post has multiple photos

The week view is designed to fit comfortably on most laptop screens without horizontal scrolling. Post cards stay clean and readable even when you have a full week of content planned.

  • Move week to week with the arrow buttons at the top of the calendar.

  • Jump to any specific week by clicking a date in the mini-month picker in the left sidebar. The week view shifts immediately to show that seven-day window β€” you don't have to arrow through week by week to get there. The arrows above the mini-month move month to month.

  • Scroll back through history as far as you like β€” the calendar shows every post since you started using Social Valet.

Filtering what shows up

The left sidebar has two filters:

  • Post type β€” toggle Instagram posts and blog posts on or off independently. Both are on by default.

  • Album β€” type an album name to show only posts generated from that album. Clear the field to show all albums again.

Filters can be combined.

Rescheduling a post

You have two ways to reschedule:

  • Drag and drop. On both week and month views, grab a scheduled post card and drag it to a new day. Social Valet keeps the original time of day intact β€” only the date changes. If you're rearranging your Instagram grid, dragging a post into a new position shifts the surrounding scheduled posts automatically while keeping already-published posts locked in place.

  • Edit in the post editor. Click any post card to open it, then update the scheduled date and time manually. Save, and the calendar updates immediately.

Published posts are read-only β€” they've gone out on Instagram or your blog and can't be moved.

Today's status

Below the mini-month, a small banner tells you whether anything is scheduled for the current day. If your bench is empty or your cadence is light, you'll see "You have no posts scheduled today." It's informational, not an error β€” auto-scheduling will fill in days from your Approved bench as you have content available.

If something goes wrong

  • A post is missing from the calendar. Check your Post type and Album filters in the sidebar β€” one may be excluding it. Also confirm the post is actually scheduled (Approved posts without a date won't appear; they live on the Approved bench until auto-scheduling assigns a time).

  • A post can't be rescheduled. Published posts can't be moved. If the post is showing as published, it's already out on the platform.

  • Drag to reschedule isn't working as expected. Make sure you're dragging a scheduled (not published) post. Published posts are locked and won't respond to drag.

  • The calendar feels sparse. Either your Approved bench is light, or your weekly post target is set lower than daily. See How auto-scheduling works for how Social Valet decides how many posts go out per week.
