Completing Onboarding

After you create your account and verify your email, Social Valet walks you through a short onboarding flow to set up your workspace. Most of it takes about five minutes β or longer if you want to fully train your brand voice while you're there.
You can step away anytime. If you close the tab, you'll pick up right where you left off the next time you log in.
What onboarding covers
There are five steps:
Welcome β your name, job title, business name, and company type
Choose your plan β monthly or yearly, with a 30-day free trial
Connect your accounts β Instagram, WordPress, and any other platforms you use
Brand Voice β train Social Valet to write in your voice
You're good to go β start your first album or explore the dashboard
Some steps are required to continue. Others can be skipped and finished later.
Step 1: Welcome
Tell us about you and your business:
First Name and Last Name
Job Title β what you do (e.g., "Lead Photographer," "Owner & Floral Designer")
Business Name β the name your clients know you by
Company Type β select the option that best matches your business
This step is required. Click Next to continue.
Step 2: Choose your plan
Pick the plan that fits your pace:
Monthly Plan β pay month to month, full flexibility
Yearly Plan β save $189/year, plus lock in current pricing and get 2 months free
Both plans include a 30-day free trial, full access to AI-generated captions in your brand voice, and auto-publishing to Instagram and your blog.
Click Start Free Trial under the plan you want. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout to enter your payment information. You won't be charged until your trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then.
This step is required to continue.
Step 3: Connect your accounts
Link the platforms where Social Valet will publish for you:
Instagram β required for Instagram post publishing. See Connecting your Instagram account for details.
WordPress β required for blog publishing. See Connecting your WordPress blog for details.
Facebook and Pinterest β coming soon
You can skip this step and connect later from Settings β Platform Management, but Social Valet won't be able to publish posts until at least one platform is connected. Click Skip for now to move on, or Next once you're done.
Step 4: Brand Voice
This is where you train Social Valet to sound like you. You have a few ways to do it, and you can mix and match:
Train on connected platforms β turn on the toggle to learn from your recent Instagram posts. If WordPress is connected, you can include your blog too.
Paste links β add URLs to specific pages with copy you want Social Valet to learn from (your About page, sample blog posts, etc.). Each link is analyzed individually.
Type or paste sample content β drop in writing that represents your voice
Upload a file β share documents that capture your style
Record audio β talk through how you want your brand to come across
Click Create Brand Voice when you're done. You can also skip this step and train your brand voice later from Settings β Brand Voice.
Don't stress about getting it perfect β Social Valet keeps learning as you edit and approve posts, and you can refine your voice anytime.
For a deeper walkthrough, see Training your brand voice .
Step 5: You're good to go
Once you've completed (or skipped) the previous steps, you'll land on a confirmation screen with two paths:
Create First Album β start uploading photos and event details from a recent wedding. Social Valet will begin generating posts as soon as your album is created.
Explore Social Valet β head to your dashboard and get familiar with the platform first.
Either way, nothing gets scheduled or published until you review and approve it.
If you need to come back later
If you close your browser or step away mid-onboarding, just log back in β you'll resume from the step you left off on. Required steps you've already completed (like plan selection) won't need to be redone.
