Reviewing and editing album details

After Social Valet analyzes what you shared β€” or if you chose to enter details manually β€” you'll land on Step 2: Confirm album details. This is where you review what was captured, fix anything that's off, and add what's missing before moving on to photos.

What you'll find on this screen

[Screenshot: Step 2 β€” Confirm album details, full screen]

The form is split into a few sections:

  • Album Title (required) β€” the only field you have to fill in to create the album

  • Description β€” a short narrative about the event

  • Date β€” the event date

  • Type β€” the event type (Wedding, Engagement, Portrait, Corporate, and more)

  • Location and Venue β€” where the event happened

  • Tags β€” keywords for organizing and filtering

  • Vendors β€” businesses that worked the event

  • Subjects β€” people featured in the album, like the couple or family members

If you used AI analysis in step 1, most of these will already be filled in.

Editing the basics

  1. Review the Album Title, Description, Date, Type, Location, and Venue. Click any field to edit it.

  2. To add a tag, type it in the Tags field and press enter. Tags appear as chips you can remove anytime.

Adding and reviewing vendors

The Vendors section shows everyone Social Valet auto-matched from your account's vendor database, marked with an Added by Social Valet badge.

  • To remove a vendor from the album, click the red remove icon on their card.

  • To edit a vendor's details, click the pencil icon. Heads up: editing an existing vendor updates that vendor everywhere in your account, not just on this album.

  • To add a vendor manually, use the search box to find one in your database, or click + Add Vendor to create a new vendor record.

Suggested vendors

If Social Valet found possible vendor matches it wasn't fully confident about, they'll appear under Suggested Vendors.

  • Click Add Vendor on a suggestion card to confirm the match and add them to the album.

  • Click Ignore to dismiss the suggestion.

Adding and reviewing subjects

Subjects are the people featured in the album β€” the couple, family members, the birthday kid, key participants. Each subject has a name, a role tied to the event type, and an optional Instagram handle.

  • To add a subject, click + Add Subject and fill in their details.

  • To remove or edit an existing subject, use the red remove or pencil icons on their card.

A note on auto-extracted subjects: Social Valet only auto-adds subjects when it finds an Instagram handle for them. Names mentioned without a handle get folded into the album description instead β€” you can always add them manually here if you want them tagged in posts.

Saving and moving on

Once everything looks right, click Create Album in the top right. The album is saved and you'll move to Step 3: Upload photos.

If something goes wrong

  • "Create Album" button is greyed out β€” Album Title is required. Add one and the button will activate.

  • A vendor isn't showing up in search β€” They may not exist in your database yet. Click + Add Vendor to create them inline.

  • The wrong subject role options are showing β€” Subject roles are tied to the event type. Change the Type field first, and the role list will update.
