Sharing an album with another vendor

Album sharing lets you send a copy of an album to vendors and collaborators so they can pull it into their own Social Valet account or download the photos. Sharing is initiated from the album sidebar.

Before you start

  • The album exists in your account and has photos uploaded

  • You know the email addresses of the people you want to share with (vendor emails on the album are pre-filled for you)

How to share an album

  1. Open the album you want to share.

  2. In the left sidebar, click Share this album.

  3. Review the list of vendors pre-checked from the album. Uncheck anyone you don't want to send to.

  4. To send to someone who isn't a vendor on the album, click + Add custom email and enter their address.

  5. Optionally add a message in the Add a message field.

  6. Click Share.

You'll see a confirmation that the invitations were sent. Each recipient gets their own unique link.

What recipients see

The invitation email includes your name and business, the album title, the album date, the photo count, and a link to view the album. The flow they go through next depends on whether they already have a Social Valet account β€” see Receiving a shared album for the full picture.

Things to know

  • Share links expire 14 days after they're sent.

  • If you delete the original album before a recipient imports it, their link stops working.

  • You can share the same album as many times as you want. Each share creates an independent link.

  • There's no limit on the number of recipients per share.

  • Imported albums are completely independent copies. Edits a recipient makes to their copy don't affect yours, and vice versa.

If something goes wrong

  • No vendors are pre-checked. Either no vendors are linked to this album, or the linked vendors don't have email addresses on file. Add their emails in vendor management, or use + Add custom email.

  • A recipient says their link doesn't work. The link may be past its 14-day window, or the album may have been deleted. Re-share the album to send a fresh link.

  • A recipient never received the email. Ask them to check spam. If it's still missing, confirm the email address and re-share.
