Disconnecting an integration

You can disconnect Instagram or WordPress at any time from Settings β†’ Platform Management. Disconnecting stops Social Valet from publishing to that platform and pauses content generation for it, but doesn't delete any albums, posts, or settings inside Social Valet.

What happens when you disconnect

  • Scheduled and approved posts won't publish. They stay in their current status with a "can't publish" indicator until you reconnect.

  • Social Valet stops generating new posts for that platform. Once you reconnect, generation resumes for new albums.

  • Auto-publish and auto-approval reset to off. If you'd turned those on, you'll need to re-enable them after reconnecting.

  • Your albums, brand voice, and other settings stay intact. None of your Social Valet content is affected.

Disconnecting Instagram

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Platform Management.

  2. Click Disconnect on the Instagram row.

  3. Confirm in the dialog when prompted.

To reconnect, follow the steps in Connecting your Instagram account β€” it's the same flow as the first time.

Disconnecting WordPress

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Platform Management.

  2. Click Disconnect on the WordPress row.

  3. Confirm in the dialog when prompted.

When you reconnect, you'll need a new Application Password β€” the one you used previously won't work again. See Connecting your WordPress blog for the full reconnection steps.
