What is brand voice and why it matters

Your brand voice is what makes a caption sound like you and not like a generic template. In Social Valet, it's also a setting, a profile built from inputs you provide, that tells our AI how to write content in your voice.
What it affects
Once trained, your brand voice shapes most of what Social Valet creates for you:
Instagram captions. Tone, rhythm, emoji use, how you talk about your couples.
Pinterest pin titles and descriptions. Written in your Pinterest voice, which can differ from your Instagram voice.
Blog posts. Voice and pacing across the full article.
Post selection. The types of posts we suggest for your albums.
Why it's worth training well
The better your brand voice, the less you'll edit. Approvals get faster, captions stop needing rewrites, and blog posts sound like your website instead of someone else's.
If you skip this step, Social Valet falls back to a reasonable default. It works, but "reasonable" isn't why your couples picked you.
Platform-specific voice sections
Your brand voice now has dedicated sections for Instagram and Pinterest. The tone that works for a swoony Instagram caption isn't always what you want on a Pinterest pin, and vice versa. Setting each one independently gives you tighter control over how Social Valet writes for each platform.
You can preview a sample caption for Instagram and a sample pin for Pinterest right from the Brand Voice settings page to hear how each one sounds before you publish anything.
When to train or retrain
Set up your brand voice during onboarding. After that, you can refine it any time from Settings β Brand Voice. Good times to retrain:
You've rebranded or repositioned your business
Your social style has shifted
Generated content doesn't quite sound like you yet
The Brand Voice page is organized into sections so you can update one part of your voice, or one platform's voice, without starting over from scratch.
